Use the Desktop & View Navigator as a tool to give organization and ease of navigation to Commence 4.0, or above, databases. There are three windows on the main screen of the Desktop & View Navigator.
 | Groups window - A collection of "big picture" groups used to divide your database. |
| Desktops window - A collection of desktops for a single group. |
| Views window - A collection of views for a single group. |
Organize your database into groups. Use the Desktop & View Navigator to display icons
representing these groups. Select and associate desktops and views to be available for
easy access when their parent group is selected. Launch the Desktop & View Navigator
from the Commence toolbar with an agent. Select a group, then a desktop or view. The
Desktop & View Navigator will minimize and the selected desktop or view will appear.
1. Launch the Navigator or bring it to the front with the provided toolbar agent.
2. Select a group from the left window of the navigator. The right two windows change
to display desktops and views which belong to the selected group.
3. Select the desktop or view that you would like opened. The Navigator minimizes and
the desktop or view opens.
