Need to know ASAP that your Commence server has crashed?
ServerCheck monitors the activity of the local copy of Commence. ServerCheck notifies a list of users if the local copy is frozen or not running. ServerCheck features two types of notification, Email and Winpopup messages.
ServerCheck is a timer based application that runs in the background. Once a minute, ServerCheck checks to see if Commence is running. If Commence does not respond, then ServerCheck tries again a minute later. If Commence fails to respond again, then ServerCheck goes into a 15 second loop. If Commence replies even a single time while ServerCheck is in this loop, then ServerCheck is satisfied that Commence is running. However, if Commence failed to respond even a single time, then ServerCheck notifies each user as specified in its list of WinPopup and EMail recipient lists that the local copy of Commence is not responding to ServerCheck.
Commence's failure to respond may be due to an illegal operation or a process that is taking an unusually long amount of time.
